Clark Competes in the Mike Hodges Invitational

OREGON CITY, OR - On a rainy Friday afternoon, the Clark men and women's cross country teams participated in the Mike Hodges Invitational at Clackamas Community College.

The women's race which featured six new faces for the Penguins. Leading the pack were first year student athletes' Jacquilynn Premo and Savannah Cooper.

The men's suqad was led by dual freshman's Jacob Mason and Zach Lemberg.

"I'm proud of both the men's and women's teams' effort,” Penguins coach Ryan Hovde said. “We looked pretty solid after a long layoff and looking forward to the Southern Regionals."

The flat and fast 5,000-meter course consisting of 95 percent grass was the original used for the New Balance Festival of Champions, which was a nationally-rated high school course.
