Duffy, McCarthy, Pace Clark XC Teams at NWAACC Southern Regionals


Meet Results

Oregon City, Ore. –  Clark men's and women's cross country teams fared well amongst some of the top programs in the NWAACC on Saturday, October 25 at the Southern Regionals hosted by Clackamas Community College. Both teams were led by Andrew Duffy and  Niamh McCarthy respectively.  

On the men's side, Andrew Duffy ran a strong race, finishing in 4th place with a 26:03.96 and Tremaine Rambo, the standout from Federal Way High School, and finished 11th with a 26:44.68.  

The women's squad ran a solid race, with Niemh McCarthy leading the way with a 19:22.38. Cammi Parsons finished the race with 20:08.14 and Cindy Pacheco finished with a 20:32.15.

2012-13 Highlights
-Women's basketball sixth place finish at the NWAACC Basketball Championships, first placing since 2001
-Men's Basketball posted a 3.17 overall team GPA
-Four programs recorded an overall team GPA above 3.0
-Men's soccer wins seventh Southern Region title
-Men's Soccer Head Coach Biniam Afenegus named Southern Region Coach of the Year
-Men's Soccer Borce Atanasov named NWAACC Baden Player of the Year and Southern Region MVP
-Women's Soccer reached NWAACC playoffs for the second straight year
-Six athletes named to NWAACC All-Academic teams
-Nine athletes received Academic Leadership Awards
-Softball complex construction complete
-Awarded bid to host NWAACC Cross Country Championships 2013-2015
-20 student-athletes named to All Stars teams
-Seven out of 11 sponsored programs participated in NWAACC post-season play
