With Clark's final meet this past weekend, the Penguins couldn't have picked a better time to peak. Both men and women placed 4th respectively with 15 of Clark's athletes gaining personal records.
WOMEN:
Olivia Rose will be at the top of this list by becoming an NWAC Champion in the Triple Jump. With her jump of 11.28 meters, equivalent to over 37 feet, Rose will be the only Penguin to be an NWAC Champion for the 2016 Track and Field season. Rose also placed 5
th in the long jump and helped the Penguins 4x100 meter team to a 3
rd place finish.
Other athletes on the women's side that had a standout meet were
Tresa Marsh,
Alanni Wingert, and
Tayler Troupe.
Tresa Marsh had longs days on the track by running the 10,000 Monday and then coming back Tuesday to run the 5,000. She placed 2
nd in the 10,000 meter run and 5
th in the 5,000 meter run.
Alanni Wingert had a busy day on Tuesday by running three events. The first event of the day for her was the women's 1500 meter run where she placed 3
rd. Soon after the 1500 she had to run the 800 meter run where she placed 6
th. To finish off her Penguin career, her last race would be the women's 4x400 meter relay were she helped the team to a 5
th place finish.
Tayler Troupe has been rock solid throughout her freshman campaign and it didn't stop at the championships. Tayler ended the season earning the most points for the championship meet with a total of 21 points. Her finishes were 2
nd in the long jump, 3
rd in the 4x100, 4
th in the 100 meter dash, and 5
th in the 4x400 meter relay.

Tresa Marsh,
Alanni Wingert, and
Tayler Troupe contributed for an outstanding 55 out of the teams 87.5 team points.
MEN:
On the Men's side the Penguins did not disappoint with fantastic showings not only on the track but in the field events as well.
The Penguins had two individual 2
nd place finishers along with a 2
nd place 4x100 meter relay team. The highlight of the day for the men was
Quentin Sills who placed 2
nd in the Javelin.
Quentin Sills came into the championships ranked 7
th in the NWAC with a seeding mark of 55.24 meters. After a scratch on the first throw, Quentin launched the throw of his short career that landed at 58.21m (191 feet), a personal best and good enough to earn him 2
nd place.
Also placing 2
nd for the Penguins was
Brandon Stribling in the long jump. Brandon jumped 6.94 meters which was just shy of the winning mark of 6.96 meters. Stribling was also part of the Men's 4x100 meter team that placed second with a time of 42.30. Also joining Stribling on that team was
Te'Kwon Wallace,
Tupre Wickliff, and
Mohamed Conteh.
